If your village is already linked to Supercell ID and you can access its email, sign in with that same ID on the new device. Keep the old device and its game data until you have confirmed the right village opens on the new one.
If your village is already linked to Supercell ID and you can access its email, sign in with that same ID on the new device. Keep the old device and its game data until you have confirmed the right village opens on the new one.
Before switching phones
On the old device, open Clash of Clans → Settings → Supercell ID and check which email is linked. Record your player tag, village name, Town Hall level and clan name; a screenshot of your profile can help you find these later. If you have several villages, check each ID rather than assuming the email used by the phone is the right one.
If the old village is not connected, use the in-game Supercell ID setup while you still have access. Check the displayed village before confirming the link. Menu wording can differ by language and game version.
Sign in and check the village
- Install and open Clash of Clans on the new device. Open Settings and choose the Supercell ID login option.
- Enter the email linked to the old village, then use the code sent to that email in the official login screen.
- Confirm that the village name, player tag and progress match. If a different village appears, stop and check which ID you used instead of linking or replacing anything blindly.
The same ID can be used when moving between supported devices. An email code is not the same thing as an Account Protection recovery code.
No email access or no ID?
Open Settings → Help and Support in the game, then use the contact button. Tell support whether the village was linked, and provide your player tag, name, Town Hall or XP level, clan and transaction IDs if you have them. Supercell says recovery depends on confirming ownership; it may ask for a new email not already linked to a Supercell ID. Recovery is not guaranteed.
Account Protection can use recovery codes or SMS where available; eligibility varies by account and region. Keep codes private and only use them in a support conversation you initiated inside the game—ignore unsolicited “support” messages.
To open the recovery conversation, launch the game, choose Settings → Help and Support, then tap the contact button in the top-right corner. If Account Protection was enabled, official support may offer SMS or a recovery code to verify ownership. Prepare an email not already linked to Supercell ID if support asks; recovery still depends on their ownership checks. Sources: Supercell: lost account · Account safety · Account Protection
