Clash of Clans: when should you upgrade your Town Hall?
For a newer Home Village player, a good default is to upgrade when your main attack is working, essential research is underway or finished, and you have a plan for your builders and resources. You do not have to max every wall first. Equally, upgrading repeatedly while ignoring your army can leave you with new buildings but an attack that struggles to fund them.
Getting startedAndroidiOSClash of Clans builders: what to upgrade when every worker is busy
When builders are scarce, use a simple default: keep your main attack developing, then cover the most urgent storage or defense gap. Stagger finishing times so you can start the next job without all builders becoming free together. The Laboratory's research queue is a separate planning concern from the builders' building work.
ItemsAndroidiOSClash of Clans gems and magic items: what should a new player use first?
For a newer Home Village, a useful default is to save gems for an additional permanent Builder Hut if one is available, rather than repeatedly spending them to finish short timers. Use a magic item when it meaningfully advances work you were already planning, and check the in-game description before confirming.
ItemsAndroidiOSClash of Clans resource farming: a low Town Hall attack routine
At Town Hall 4–6, look for reachable collectors and a useful loot amount, attack with troops you have unlocked, then spend what you earn on a planned upgrade. You do not need to clear every base: take the buildings that hold the resource you need, while weighing loot against the stars you can reasonably earn.
WalkthroughsAndroidiOSClash of Clans Town Hall 8 dragon attack: a simple plan to practise
For a first TH8 air attack, try dragons with Rage spells against a base whose air defenses you can clearly identify. The goal is to get the main group through the core, not to drop every dragon in one spot and hope. Check your own camp and spell capacity before building the army; developing TH8 villages may not have every upgrade yet.
BuildsAndroidiOSClash of Clans: TH9 Queen Charge Hogs: turn one Queen walk into a Hog Rider route
At Town Hall 9, practise a Queen Charge followed by Hog Riders: the Queen and Healers remove a dangerous section, then Hogs move through defenses under Healing spells. Start against a base where you can identify both the Queen’s target and the Hogs’ route. This needs practice and does not guarantee three stars.
BuildsAndroidiOSClash of Clans: TH10 siege attacks: make a Wall Wrecker route before you deploy
At Town Hall 10, a level 6 Clan Castle can receive a donated Siege Machine. Try a Wall Wrecker with a ground army you already know: plan its route toward the enemy Town Hall, clear the entry edges, and time spells for the defenses your troops actually meet. A machine helps open a route; it does not guarantee the rest of your army will follow.
BuildsAndroidiOSClash of Clans base layouts: protect resources or defend a war base?
Choose your goal before moving buildings. For everyday resource gathering, place important storages where an attacker must work to reach them. For a regular Clan War, focus on making stars harder to earn: protect the Town Hall and prevent one easy entry from reaching every important defense. A war base is edited separately from your Home Village layout.
BuildsAndroidiOSClash of Clans Clan Wars: plan both attacks before battle day
A regular Clan War gives each selected player two attacks on different enemy bases. Agree on your first target early, then use the second attack to cover a base the clan still needs. Clan War Leagues use different rules: a player in the day’s lineup has one attack, so this plan is for regular wars.
WalkthroughsAndroidiOSClash of Clans Laboratory order: research the army you actually use
Start with one troop and one spell that matter to your regular attack, rather than trying to upgrade the entire Laboratory evenly. Keep the next research choice linked to what your army needs: damage, a spell that supports the attack, or an unlock that makes the plan possible.
ItemsAndroidiOSClash of Clans army or hero unavailable? Check these before attacking
In the current Home Village system, troops and spells do not need a training wait, and heroes do not need to heal after a battle. If something is missing, start with the selected army, capacity and the rules of the mode you are entering; waiting for an old training or healing timer may not solve it.
TroubleshootingAndroidiOSMoving Clash of Clans to a new phone? Find your village with Supercell ID
If your village is already linked to Supercell ID and you can access its email, sign in with that same ID on the new device. Keep the old device and its game data until you have confirmed the right village opens on the new one.
