At Town Hall 9, practise a Queen Charge followed by Hog Riders: the Queen and Healers remove a dangerous section, then Hogs move through defenses under Healing spells. Start against a base where you can identify both the Queen’s target and the Hogs’ route. This needs practice and does not guarantee three stars.

Prepare and scout
A published TH9 example uses four Healers behind the Archer Queen, Hog Riders as the main defense-clearing group, and Rage and Healing support. Check that your Queen, Healers, Hogs and chosen spells are unlocked and fit your actual camp and spell capacity. Troop levels, hero equipment and donated reinforcements affect the result; do not assume a fully upgraded army.
Find the enemy Clan Castle, defending Queen, Air Defenses and likely spaces for Giant Bombs. Pick a Queen entry where she can reach a valuable section without Healers being exposed to an Air Defense immediately. Identify a separate Hog entry that follows remaining defenses; Hogs favor defenses, so their route is not the same as the Queen’s.
A published full-capacity practice roster is 4 Healers, 28 Hog Riders, 2 Wall Breakers and 10 Minions (220 housing), with 3 Heal, 1 Rage and 1 Freeze (9 spell spaces). A donated Poison is optional for defending Clan Castle troops. This example assumes sufficient upgrades and unlocked units: check your army screen, reduce the roster if needed, and do not assume the exact combination guarantees a win.
Clear with the Queen
- Place the Queen on the chosen side and Healers behind her once she starts taking damage. Clear outside buildings that would pull her away from the intended route; observe her next target before committing the rest.
- If unlocked and needed, use Wall Breakers to open her route, taking care not to release them into active splash defenses. The Queen may still choose a different building: watch her, don’t assume the opening forces the path.
- Keep a Rage ready when the Queen and Healers face heavy damage. Handle defending Clan Castle troops with the tools you actually have; use a Poison spell if available and appropriate. If she cannot survive or walks away from the objective, reassess rather than blindly sending Hogs.
Send Hogs and support them
Deploy Hogs toward defenses on the planned side after the Queen has reduced the threatened area. Place Healing ahead of the group as it approaches concentrated defenses or a suspected bomb area, so the Hogs move through the effect. Keep a few cleanup troops for outside buildings where capacity allows; Hogs pursuing defenses may leave them behind.
After the replay ask: did the Queen take her intended target, did Hogs split, and did Healing arrive before heavy damage? Fix one decision at a time. A spread-out base or route full of unknown bombs can defeat this plan; choose a different entry or army when the base calls for it.
