Compare player ID, server and login method, then use the in-game recovery route if needed.
Seeing a level-one character on a new phone does not by itself prove your old progress is gone. First check whether you opened the same game edition and signed in through the provider linked to your old profile. Do not delete the old app or clear its data while it is the only place where you can still access that profile.
If you still have the old phone
- Open the old profile and record your player ID and server ID, displayed name and game edition. Keep those details private; they help you distinguish profiles and may be useful to support.
- In the account settings, inspect which login methods the game currently shows as linked. If the old account is unlinked, follow the in-game binding instructions for a method available to you and complete any verification required. Available providers and regional clients can differ.
- On the new phone, open the same game edition. Find Profile → Account → Switch Account or the equivalent shown in your client, then choose the same linked provider and sign in to the correct account with that provider. This menu path comes from a third-party guide and has not been independently tested on every regional client.
- Once the game loads, compare the player ID, server ID, name and owned content with your record. A familiar nickname alone is not enough. Keep the old phone accessible until you have confirmed the correct profile on the new one.
If you only see a new character
Check the game edition and whether you chose the same provider and provider account as before. A matching email displayed by two different login methods does not by itself prove that those methods are linked to the same MLBB profile. Avoid repeatedly binding, unlinking or switching accounts while you are unsure which profile is active; first record the new profile's ID as well so you can tell the two apart.
If the correct linked login is unavailable or the account was never linked, use in-game Customer Service / Account Recovery and follow the current prompts. Community recovery guidance asks for account and server IDs and may request other ownership details; exact requirements and success depend on the case. A friend may be able to help you identify the old profile from their friend list or an old screenshot, but support determines acceptable proof.
Enter passwords and one-time codes only into the legitimate provider's or game's own sign-in flow. Do not send them to a person claiming they can recover the account. If you cannot identify the old ID, ask support what evidence it accepts; do not invent it or assume support can always recover an unlinked account.
