Quick answer

Prepare your route, teammates and Retribution before contesting an objective.

Start by checking the map and the objective countdown. Clear nearby camps with Retribution and look for a lane where your team can assist; do not force a gank just because an enemy is visible.

Before the objective

Ask nearby laners to clear their wave and move with you. Approach through an area your team can watch, check the river and the enemy jungler’s last known position, and keep Retribution ready. The map and live objective indicator determine timing; events and updates can change rules.

If ahead or behind

With teammates nearby and enemy pressure low, start the objective while someone watches the entrance. Watch its health and coordinate Retribution with your team's damage. If outnumbered or the entrance is dark, do not walk in alone: defend a wave or take a safer resource on the other side, then regroup.

After the fight

Use the advantage to push a wave or protect a turret with your team. If you lost the objective, retreat together and clear the approaching wave rather than chasing a kill into unknown ground.

Secure the objective: Before engaging, check that Retribution is ready and note its displayed damage. Stay in range; when Turtle or Lord reaches that health threshold, use Retribution on the objective. Enemy damage and latency can affect the result.
