Quick answer

First separate three problems: a match will not start, the match starts but feels delayed, or your old team is missing on a new device. They need different checks. Before changing devices or reinstalling the mobile app, make sure your existing game data is linked; reinstalling alone is not a data-transfer method.

Available match modes and platform compatibility can change. Check the mode and the game’s current notices before assuming every console, PC and mobile player can match each other.

Matchmaking does not start

  1. Check the game’s current service or maintenance notices and your platform’s online-service status. If maintenance is underway, wait for the announced end and check again.
  2. Confirm that you and your friend selected the same available match mode and have the necessary room or invitation details. Check the game’s current platform support for that mode; successful account linking does not guarantee cross-platform matchmaking.
  3. If services are available, retry after confirming the device is online. Note the exact error and when it occurred if the problem continues.

Match starts but controls feel delayed

Check connection quality during the match if the game provides it. Konami recommends reducing large uploads and downloads on the same Wi-Fi, keeping a mobile device close to the access point, and using wired LAN for a console where possible. Try another match after changing one condition so you can compare.

If other online services also struggle, investigate your local connection first. If only one match was poor, do not assume a single cause: server route, network conditions and opponent matching can vary. Keep the match details and connection information if you need official support.

If self-transfer fails, Konami’s support page asks for a purchase receipt to help verify account ownership and says the investigation may take several weeks. If you have no receipt, ask official support what evidence is acceptable; never send credentials to strangers. (source)

Mobile progress missing after switching phones

If the old phone still works, open Extras → Support → Link Data and check that your existing account is linked. Konami states that transferring between iOS and Android requires a KONAMI ID. On the new device, use Title Screen → Data Transfer and choose the method linked to the original account; sign in with that account. Follow the game’s current warnings before confirming.

Do not assume the mobile team transfers to console: Konami says mobile and home-console game data cannot be transferred between those platforms. The same platform account can share data for supported PlayStation generations or supported Xbox/Windows combinations; check the official list for your platforms. If your old data was never linked or recovery fails, use Konami’s official mobile-support contact route rather than giving your login to another person.
