Free exploration is not a real-time countdown; plan around quest costs, skill actions and day-or-night requirements.
You have 30 days and nights to pursue the goal of saving Coen's family, but this is not a real-time countdown. Simply taking longer to explore does not automatically move the game clock. Plan instead around quests, choices and other specific actions that advance it.
Check the action before committing
| Action | How to plan around it |
|---|---|
| Ordinary travel and exploration | Scout routes and locations without rushing because of real-world time. |
| Quests and important interactions | Check the displayed time cost before proceeding. An interaction found while exploring is not necessarily free just because getting there was. |
| Learning skills and other activities | Some actions also advance time; read the prompt before deciding when to do them. |
| Time-sensitive quests | Check that quest's deadline, current stage and day-or-night requirement, not just the days remaining for the main goal. |
A simple way to plan your next move
Explore during the current phase and identify your destination. Choose one quest you're ready to pursue, read its interaction prompts and decide whether to spend the time. Afterward, check whether day or night has changed and whether your other quests remain available before choosing the next one. If a quest needs a particular phase, consider whether a useful activity can move time toward it instead of waiting blindly.
Coen's abilities differ between day and night, and some people or quests are available only at particular times. The exact deadline and cost depend on the action: use the specific in-game prompt rather than assuming every interaction during exploration is free.
The 30-day limit affects the main objective and story outcome; it is not simply a real-time game-over clock. Decide which storyline matters to you before committing to a consequential choice.
