Find and activate a point
As you explore Pywel, a Mysterious Energy search area can indicate a nearby Nexus, Cresset or another exploration activity. If you have unlocked Blinding Flash, use it while looking around the area to help reveal points of interest; follow your current control prompt because bindings can change.
An Abyss Nexus is a circular stone platform. Step into its centre and wait for the visible activation, then open the map and check the marker. An Abyss Cresset is a different point: some can be activated directly, while others require reaching a location or solving a nearby puzzle. If the game indicates a required ability you do not yet have, continue the relevant story and return later rather than assuming the point is broken.
If the map has no usable destination yet, continue the early main story: a published guide says the first two Skybridge points are unlocked through the story. Skybridge islands are a separate route from ground Nexus points; stepping onto an island can unlock its point, while reaching the next may require its platforming or puzzle. Return to the map and select a point already unlocked. The exact quest trigger has not been independently verified.
Travel to an unlocked marker
- Open the world map and use an overview such as All if quest filters hide travel markers.
- Select an already activated Nexus or Cresset and use the teleport prompt shown for your device. Confirm the destination before travelling.
- If the game refuses, dismount, leave combat and stop climbing or moving, then try again. Check the exact message; other story or location restrictions may apply.
Community guides describe ground Nexus activation by standing in the circle and identify Cressets as another travel destination. They also report that map filtering can hide markers. Controls, availability and locations can change with updates, so use the game's current prompts as the final check.
A sensible first route
While following early story objectives around Hernand, activate a point you can safely reach rather than detouring for every marker. When you next travel, confirm it appears on your map. A marker near a camp may involve a puzzle; do not assume it is usable just because it is visible. Keep exploration supplies ready for the trip between unlocked points.
