Quick answer

Start with the problem that loses you fights: empty stamina, low health, or attacks you cannot use safely. Spend on one improvement, try it, then choose the next.

Pick your first upgrades

If you run out of stamina before you can escape, consider increasing stamina. If a few mistakes knock you out, consider health instead. For a melee route, look for an upgrade to the combo you already use; extra moves do not help much if you cannot fit them into a fight.

Once available, Keen Senses level 2 adds a dodge when timed just before a hit. Practice the timing against a manageable enemy. Force Palm is unlocked during an early story mission; its next upgrade lets you follow up with another strike. Check the node and prerequisite in your own game before committing.

Spend and reset

Regular Abyss Artifacts unlock or improve skills. Some moves can also be learned by observing, while others need story progress. The Faded Abyss Artifact is a separate item for resetting; read the confirmation and associated costs first. Do not assume every additional upgrade material is refunded. If the build works, there is no need to reset immediately.
