Quick answer

Choose a camera for Grace and Leon, then find the deeper camera-speed controls if movement feels uncomfortable.

You can choose a first- or third-person camera for both Grace and Leon. Pause, open Options → Camera, and change the relevant character's camera setting. If the view feels too fast or slow afterward, open that character's detailed camera options rather than searching only for a separate mouse-sensitivity page.

This guide covers Resident Evil Requiem on PC and PS5. Menu wording can vary with the display language. CAPCOM's sensitivity notice is for the PC release and says the camera-speed settings are shared between mouse and controller; the article has not been tested in-game.

Change the view

  1. Pause in a safe moment and open Options.
  2. Open Camera and find Grace's Camera or Leon's Camera, depending on the character you want to adjust.
  3. Select first-person or third-person for that character, apply the setting if prompted, and return to the game.
  4. Turn and move in a safe space to check the result. If you switch characters later, check the other character's own setting rather than assuming it matches.

First person places the view at the character and can make close spaces feel more immediate. Third person shows the character from behind and gives a different view of their position. Neither is a required difficulty setting: choose the view that makes movement and aiming easier for you, and switch again if the situation calls for it.

Find camera speed on PC

In Options → Camera, select Grace's Camera or Leon's Camera and open its more detailed settings. CAPCOM says the first- and third-person camera speeds can be adjusted there, and the settings apply to both mouse and controller. Change a small amount, return to a safe area and test turning before adjusting further. If only one character feels wrong, check that character's settings.

Still uncomfortable?

Try the other perspective in the same safe area and adjust camera speed gradually. If the movement causes discomfort, pause and take a break; don't force yourself through a long section while troubleshooting. A different camera can help some players, but no single setting works for everyone.

If a setting appears unchanged, confirm you edited the intended character and applied any prompt before leaving the menu. Reopen the camera settings and check the selected view. Interface wording and available options may differ between platforms or updates, so use the in-game labels as the final reference.
