Protect a guest account, choose a supported cross-OS login and verify the same character on your new phone.
If your old phone still logs in, do not delete the game or clear its data yet. Check whether the account is a guest, record your UID and link a login method you control that works on both devices. Only deal with the old device after the new one shows the same UID and character.
Old phone available: follow this order
- Open the global version of PUBG MOBILE and record the player UID, nickname and game version from your profile. A UID helps identify a character; never give someone your password or verification code.
- In lobby settings look for account/link-account options. An older official guest guide describes bottom-right lobby menu → Settings → Basic → Link Account; the interface may have changed. Choose a supported account you control and can use on the new phone, complete linking and confirm the game shows success.
- When switching Android to iOS or vice versa, choose a method supported on both. The current official cross-OS list includes Apple, Meta (Facebook), X and Discord; Discord requires its app on the device. Actual choices may vary by region or version.
- Install the same game version on the new phone. Select the same linked service and account, then compare UID, nickname and character. Official support warns that different social networks can lead to separate game data even when login information appears similar.
- Only after confirming the right character on the new phone should you consider clearing or resetting the old one. Do not unlink an existing method first. If a new character appears or the UID differs, stop and check the login service, account and game version.
Old phone gone or guest account missing?
Official support says unlinked guest data can be lost after deletion or reinstallation and recovery cannot be guaranteed. Do not repeatedly clear data or try unknown “recovery tools.” Keep whatever details remain and explain your UID, device and situation to official support; the outcome depends on its response.
The global edition and regional editions such as BGMI are not simply server choices; this guide does not promise transfers between them. Server region and login service can also affect what you see, so confirm the edition and official rules. Enter passwords, verification codes and login approvals only in official interfaces; do not give them to a third party.
