Arrange touch controls and test camera, firing and gyro sensitivity one change at a time.
There isn't one sensitivity that fits every phone and grip. Start with your existing settings, arrange the buttons you can reach, and change one sensitivity category at a time in Training Grounds. You'll know what each adjustment actually did.
This guide covers touch controls in the global version of PUBG MOBILE. Menu names can change with updates and language; the exercises below are a starting method, not official optimal values.
Place the buttons first
Find the custom control layout in settings and start from a comfortable preset. With two thumbs, try movement on the left and camera, aiming and firing on the right. Keep the fire button large enough to hit without covering the crosshair. If you use three or four fingers, put a frequent fire button where an index finger can reach while you keep moving.
Walk around without firing. Try movement, turning, aiming, crouching and reloading. Separate buttons you hit accidentally; move hard-to-reach ones toward your natural finger position. Save the layout when comfortable. If your current version offers a cloud save, keep a backup too.
Tune camera movement
In Training Grounds, pick two stationary targets. Swipe from the left target to the right using a similar motion each time, then repeat in the other direction.
| What happens | Try this |
|---|---|
| You consistently overshoot | Lower the relevant camera sensitivity slightly |
| You consistently fall short | Raise it slightly |
| You miss only occasionally | Repeat the drill before making a large change |
Change one setting and record the old and new values. Third-person, first-person and individual scopes may have separate settings. Start with the view you actually use most.
Test aiming and recoil
Use the same gun, attachments and target distance for each round. Aim down sights, fire a burst and pull down to control recoil. Repeat several times. If your aim repeatedly climbs past the target, try raising the relevant firing sensitivity a little; if you pull down too far, try lowering it. Don't change gun, scope and sensitivity together or you won't know which change mattered.
If you use the gyroscope, keep the gun and finger test conditions fixed, tilt the phone gently and adjust the matching gyro setting separately. You don't need to enable gyro just because someone else's setup uses it.
Keep a small record
| Test | Old → new value | What to observe |
|---|---|---|
| Your usual camera view | Fill in your own | Do you overshoot repeatedly? |
| Your usual scope while firing | Fill in your own | Does aim climb or drop too far? |
| Gyroscope, if enabled | Fill in your own | Can you make small corrections comfortably? |
Try a match with the result and check whether movement and button reach still feel comfortable. If not, return to your recorded previous value. Official older patch notes document quick training adjustments and cloud layout saves; check your current game for the available menus and features.
