Quick answer

Compare network delay, frame drops and phone temperature with a repeatable test.

If the picture remains smooth but other players jump around or actions register late, investigate the connection. If animations themselves stutter, especially during crowded fights, investigate frame rate and device load. Both can happen at once; neither symptom proves the cause by itself.

What you notice First comparison
Position jumps or delayed actions Check the in-game latency indicator when available; compare the same test on Wi-Fi and mobile data.
Choppy animation, particularly in fights Repeat a similar practice scene with lower graphics settings.
Smooth at first, worse as the phone heats Pause, let the phone cool and compare again under similar conditions.

Run the same short test

  1. In a practice match, use the same hero, view and sequence of skills for a short test. Note network type, displayed latency if present, graphics setting and whether the phone is cool or warm. Avoid ranked while diagnosing.
  2. Test the network: change only Wi-Fi to mobile data or vice versa, if your plan permits. Repeat the scene. A clear improvement on one connection points toward that route, but it does not prove whether the issue is your router, carrier or the game server. If both fail, check the game's official announcements for a known interruption; absence of an announcement does not prove servers are healthy.
  3. Test device load: keep the better connection, lower the game's graphics effects or quality by one step, then repeat. If available, choose a frame-rate option the device actually offers; do not assume an unsupported setting can be enabled. Restart the device and close heavy background work if the issue persists.
  4. Test heat: if performance worsens after prolonged play, stop and let the device return to normal temperature before comparing. Apple and Google document that heat can reduce performance; their instructions and menus differ by device. Avoid direct sun and charging during the comparison if either was present in the original test.

What to do with the result

If a network change helps, investigate that network or contact its provider. If lower graphics or a cool device helps, keep the stable setting and investigate heat or device performance. If both tests remain poor, record your device, game version, time, network and observed symptoms for in-game support. Avoid uninstalling or clearing game data before confirming your account is safely linked.

There is no universal acceleration switch that guarantees low latency or a particular FPS. Use the comparison to choose the next action rather than changing unrelated settings at random.
