Quick answer

A Window smoke can block a common Mid sightline while your team moves up. It does not protect every angle: tell your teammates when it lands and watch Connector and Short as well.

Rehearse the first spawn

In a private Mirage practice session with cheats enabled, the DK Nades guide gives this training position and aim for its first spawn:

setpos 1296.000000 -352.000000 -103.968750;setang -42.611565 -173.666290 0.000000

Equip a smoke, use the console line, then follow the source's W run-up and jump throw with left click. Watch the smoke land at Window and repeat until you can reproduce it. The console coordinates are for private practice, not commands you can use in a normal match.

Before trying it live

The lineup depends on which T spawn you get: the source lists separate positions and videos for five spawns. Match your spawn to its image rather than copying this aim everywhere. If the throw misses, compare spawn, aim, movement and jump timing one at a time. This draft has not been tested in the current game version; check it in practice after map or movement updates.
