Work through quest acceptance, enemy identity, participation and connection checks before assuming a bug.
Don't switch servers immediately. Return to the quest giver and confirm the active quest and target name, then defeat one specified enemy on your own and watch the counter. This separates a missing quest or wrong target from a problem that needs further investigation.
1. Confirm the quest is active
Look at the quest name, target and count on screen. If you finished the previous run, accept it again from the quest NPC and confirm the new quest appears before fighting. A single NPC may offer different tiers; compare the selection with your level and the target shown on screen.
No active quest visible? Return to the giver and check the available options and game prompt. Don't clear enemies before confirming acceptance.
2. Match the enemy, not just the island
One area may have enemies and bosses with different names or levels. Compare the displayed name with the quest target: a different enemy or boss on the same island is not automatically the requested target. Check the counter after one defeat instead of clearing a whole group before noticing a mismatch.
3. Test alone if you're grouped
If progress fails only when fighting with teammates, accept the quest and defeat one specified ordinary enemy alone, then watch the count. Bosses, special quests, player hunts and secrets can have different participation and credit conditions. Don't treat a final hit or one damage percentage as a universal rule for every quest. Check the specific objective and its prompts before choosing how to cooperate.
4. Still no progress? Check the connection
Record the update or version, quest, target, count before and after, and whether you were grouped. Check for obvious delay. If you need to switch servers or reconnect, remember that an unstored physical fruit in your bag can be lost; after reconnecting, confirm quest status and repeat the single-target test.
If a correct active quest and solo target still don't advance, keep the details and check official experience announcements or Roblox support. Without reproducing the cause, you cannot conclude that the server is definitely at fault.
