Set up a clean test
- Update the game and confirm both players are online. Bandai Namco describes inviting a friend on the same platform; don't assume PC, PlayStation and Xbox can all summon each other.
- Agree on a landmark where co-op is permitted, such as outside a boss entrance, and meet there in each player's world. For this test choose a boss the host has not defeated.
- In the Multiplayer menu, enter exactly the same multiplayer password, including letter case. Group passwords are a separate feature; do not mistake one for the other.
- The helper uses Tarnished's Furled Finger to place a gold sign. The host uses a Furlcalling Finger Remedy and selects the sign when it appears. Give it a moment; if it is missing, place the sign again and recheck the settings.
If the host has no Furlcalling Finger Remedy, buy the Crafting Kit from Kalé at the Church of Elleh and craft one from two Erdleaf Flowers; Kalé also sells a limited stock of the remedy. (source)
