Entry checklist
- Check your platform's game add-ons and entitlement. Shadow of the Erdtree needs the base game; some editions include the expansion. Install the correct add-on and update the game before troubleshooting the entrance.
- Defeat Starscourge Radahn. Bandai Namco says the festival at Redmane Castle can be activated by reaching Altus Plateau and resting at a Site of Grace there, or through certain Ranni quest steps. Travel through the castle while the festival is active to reach the fight.
- Defeat Mohg, Lord of Blood in Mohgwyn Palace. The publisher lists two routes: advance White Mask Varré's quest until you receive and use the Pureblood Knight's Medal, or use the sending gate in the Consecrated Snowfield.
- Return to Mohg's arena and interact with the arm extending from the cocoon. After entering, rest at a Site of Grace so you can travel between the two regions through the map.
After resting at a Shadow Realm grace, open the map and use the on-screen “Show Lands Between” / “Show Realm of Shadow” control to switch maps, then choose an unlocked grace. The publisher's instructions distinguish Mohg, Lord of Blood in the palace from other encounters. If the prompt still does not appear after these checks, consult your platform's add-on support rather than deleting your save.
