Protect your progress first
Finish any optional NPC stories you care about before major story changes. Keep a separate, dated backup using the method supported by your own platform; Steam Cloud synchronization is not the same as keeping several independent historical copies. Before restoring anything, preserve the current save as well and check any cloud conflict carefully. This guide does not promise that one save can safely unlock every ending or direct you to bypass platform rules.
Check the choices you unlocked

| Age of the Stars | Complete Ranni's quest, including the ring at the Cathedral of Manus Celes. After the final boss, use her blue summon sign near Marika instead of the statue. |
| Age of the Duskborn | Complete Fia's quest and check your inventory for the Mending Rune of the Death-Prince; choose it when repairing the ring. |
| Lord of Frenzied Flame | Inherit the flame from the Three Fingers and retain it through the ending; it overrides the other ending options. |
Other mending-rune endings have their own quests and runes. Having several runes does not mean they are automatically combined; read the final menu and choose the one you intend.
Already inherited the flame?
The community wiki states that Miquella's Needle can remove the Frenzied Flame only in Dragonlord Placidusax's arena in Crumbling Farum Azula. Obtaining it requires progressing Millicent's quest in the appropriate direction, recovering the Unalloyed Gold Needle, defeating Malenia and interacting with her flower after reloading the area. This is a substantial optional route, not a quick toggle. Removing the flame also prevents selecting the Frenzied Flame ending on that playthrough, according to the wiki.
If you want Ranni's ending and her sign is missing, check both her completed quest and whether the flame remains. If you want a mending-rune ending, confirm the relevant rune is in your inventory. Do not interact with an unfamiliar final prompt until you are ready to commit.
